Announcement of Mini Summer Camp for Tibetan Children in Ottawa

 

We are excited to announce a Mini Summer Camp exclusively for Ottawa-based Tibetan children this August. Sponsored by the Ottawa Friends of Tibet, the camp offers three days of fun, culture, traditional activities, and outdoor adventure led by our board member, Mr. Pema Namgyal la.

Event Details

Dates: August 9th – August 11th (3 Days)
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM each day
Eligibility: Strictly for Ottawa-based Tibetan children

Highlights & Activities

Horseback Riding: Spend a day riding horses and enjoying nature at Horses of the Sun, thanks to support from the Ottawa Friends of Tibet.
Farm Visit: Visit Tiraislin Farm to see Tibetan yaks.
Archery: Learn how to use a bow and arrow, then join in an archery game.
Momo-Making Workshop: Try making Momo, a traditional Tibetan dumpling, in this hands-on session.
Tsampa-Making Workshop: Join an interactive session to learn how to prepare traditional Tsampa.
