On July 8, 2026, we officially launched our online Tibetan language class, staying true to our organization’s vision. Before the launch, we held several online meetings to prepare and share ideas. Mr. Lhakpa Tsering, Dr. Dechen Dorjee, Dr. Tsepak Dorjee, and Lha board members Mr. Pema Namgyal and Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal all took part, discussing teaching methods and strategies for online learning.Seventeen youth students joined us in our class. We chose to start the program on Lhakar (White Wednesday), which is a special day during the celebrations for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday and Tibetan Heritage Month. The session began with teachers and students introducing themselves, then we assessed students’ speaking, reading, and writing skills to adjust our teaching to their needs. On July 11, we also started the adult class with about 12 students, focusing on Tibetan reading, writing, and Buddhist terms.
This term, Dr. Dechen Dorjee, Dr. Tsepak Dorjee, and Geshe Yeshi Gawang are leading the classes. Thanks to their guidance, students have started off with great enthusiasm.
We at Lha Tibetan Heritage Society sincerely thank all students and parents for your trust and support. We are committed to working together to preserve and promote the Tibetan language and culture. We also warmly thank the Tibetan Fund for their financial support for this project.
