If you are interested in learning and exploring mind training, this event is for you.
The Lha Tibetan Heritage Society, which supports language learning, education, and social services, is hosting an online lecture and Q&A series. To meet the community’s interest in Buddhist teachings, especially those focused on mental well-being and mind training, we have invited Ven. Geshe Lharampa Ngawang Kelsang from Drepung Loseling Monastery to teach the Eight Verses for Training the Mind.
Everyone is welcome to register and join us. Please note that registration is limited and spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Program Content
Each day, there will be a 30-minute lecture focusing on one stanza from the Eight Verses for Training the Mind.
After the lecture, there will be a 30-minute Q&A session about the day’s topic.
Dates: The series begins on September 5 and 6, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday), and will continue every weekend until all eight verses have been covered.
Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Toronto, Canada time)

About the Speaker
Ven. Geshe Lharampa Ngawang Kelsang from Drepung Loseling Monastery is a respected scholar and teacher. He has over thirty years of experience teaching major monastic texts, training more than a thousand students, and sharing his knowledge at many conferences. He also leads meditation retreats, mind-training sessions, and mindfulness classes for spiritual seekers and educational purposes.
